I love being at a Catholic school,
This really is no lie!
Every day I can't wait to go,
Let me tell you why.
There's a sense of friendliness,
Of humor and happiness that is shown.
In school, a class is a family
And a classroom is a home.
In every room, there's utter respect
for every entering person,
There's nothing less for you to expect,
We're taught all the right lessons.
Good manners make one thankful.
I'm no understater.
Bullying is an infestation,
And we're Exterminators!
We have a wonderful music program,
Let me tell you now.
The kids here are very musical
They're at the final bow.
We have a great theatre program!
An Orchestra & chorus too.
I play a trumpet in our band,
Do you play one too?
Have I mentioned chess yet?
I think I really should.
Our chess team is the best yet
Our players are really good.
The Mighty Pawns is what they call us.
We are a mighty team.
This year we're going to the State Championships
Where we're sure to make a scene!
On top of that, my school's got sport.
And though we're not undefeated,
In tough situations, we won't abort
Until we're told to be seated.
The Jaguars is our name,
We're ferocious as a cat.
In Soccer and in Basketball
We'll meet any match.
We love to learn a lot.
Our teachers make lessons memorable.
I never have forgot,
The early lessons from Math, ELA,
Science Religion and Spanish,
Social Studies, Library, Gym, Music and Art.
No one feels great anguish.
Of course, we can't do all of this alone,
we must thank our parish.
Without their help and support,
our school community would perish!
And to every person out there
Who has helped us once or twice,
We thank you very much,
Your help was very nice.
This concludes my informative poem,
I hope that you had fun.
I'm not going to lie here,
I Think my school's #1!
I love the people and the place,
As I've written not in prose.
I won't take too much more of your time,
In conclusion, I love St. Joes!
