We urge all families to attend weekly Sunday Mass. The USCCB has established Five Precepts of the Church, a set of five basic obligations that are binding on all Catholics. The first is attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. It is at Mass that we experience the physical and healing presence of Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist. This Sunday, October 13, marks Our Lady of Fatima's Miracle of the Sun.Father Kevin will offer the Rosary Altar Society, parishioners and friends of St. Peter's the opportunity to consecrate themselves to Mary prior to the 9:00am Mass. A Rosary in honor of Our Lady of Fatima will be celebrated after Mass. Refreshments and Rosary Altar Society meeting will follow. Parish History
"St. Joseph's Parish celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in 1943. The occasion was marked by the publication of the Diamond Jubilee Journal, but the joy of the parishioners was marred because of World War II, with many parish sons in battle across the Atlantic and Pacific and the restrictions at home in their severest and most critical stage."
